PERSONAL REALITY: Usha

Meet the first author of the “Personal Reality” project among the six selected- USHA! It’s a real adventure to have an artist such as her in the house!

During her visit, Usha met with students from the National Aprilov Highschool. They engaged with her on various creativity-related topics, such as the how we use our imagination, what guides us when we create, and how to implement our inner energy in the arts.

Usha conducted a practical workshop where participants experimented with light-sensitive photo paper, chemical solutions, and handmade materials to create chemigrams – an alternative photography technique, that doesn’t require even a camera. The students explored how to create spontaneous images driven by their impulses. The resulting images initially reflected their emotions and moods, which served as a starting point and inspiration for the creative process.

Then, the students engaged in targeted work to seek results based on their own aesthetic sensibility. Each resulting image was unique in both production and essence, achieved when the author released their doubts and fully trusted their inner energy.

One of the students made CAFENOL-C, a DIY developer made from instant coffee with the help of vitamin C and sodium carbonate, for the workshop and the processing of the chemigrams, providing a new experience even for Usha.

Usha is the first author of the “Personal Reality” project among the six selected. Who else? Stay tuned for future updates!
