The Photography Club of National Aprilov Highschool recently unveiled their highly anticipated annual exhibition, titled “Objective Perspectives: The Alternative Side of Photography.” This showcase is a result of the experiences gained through the school’s partnership with RadLab Studio.
On the 26th of June, the exhibition was presented in the high school building to the entire school community, including students, teachers, and guests.
Months of hard work and dedication were invested in preparing the exhibition at RadLab Studio and Room 41 (commonly known as The pigeon loft). The studio provided the environment for the students to explore their creativity and expand their photographic skills. Countless afternoons were spent in the with the students immersing themselves in the world of photography.
The exhibition boasts an collection of projects, each highlighting each student approach in photography. From captivating terrain examinations to chemigrams, from awe-inspiring darkroom-created photographs to cyanotypes and collages, the exhibition showcases the diverse artistic expressions of the students.
“Objective Perspectives” offers a fresh take on photography, encouraging students to explore beyond traditional norms and challenge preconceived notions. It invites them to see the world through their experiences, encouraging a deeper appreciation for the art form. Their collaboration with artists and their experiences at RadLab Studio showcase not only new technical abilities but also reflects their individual perspectives and creativity.
By becoming a part of the school’s fund, the exhibition will remain as a source of inspiration, creativity, and artistic exploration for years to come. Fellow students will have the opportunity to revisit and study the works, drawing inspiration from the diverse perspectives and techniques showcased in the exhibition.
The exhibition is held in partnership with the National Aprilov High School and is part of the educational program of RadLab Studio, carried out under the project “Alternative Photography in Contemporary Art and Education” with the financial support of the National Culture Fund.
